Reactive Maintenance

Reactive maintenance is an interesting subject. A view we heard recently was that “you know you’re in reactive maintenance, when all of your planned maintenance guys spend their time doing reactive maintenance work!”

I’m sure that rings true to many companies. Managing maintenance is a difficult task, there are many sophisticated and often expensive systems available that allow you to manage your maintenance resources carefully, even some that allow users to create jobs/tasks or tickets remotely and enter them directly into your own system.
